YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Surrey Podiatry Care is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and its general enquiry form. This policy explains how we use that information in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

When you make an enquiry, we collect your name, email address, enquiry type, message, and your consent to being contacted. You may choose to include your town or area. Our hosting and form provider, Netlify, may also process technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the website and prevent spam.

Please do not include detailed medical information or information about care-home residents in the form. We do not request medical history, medication, payment information or appointment dates. If care is arranged, relevant clinical information can be discussed securely and separate information about clinical record handling will be provided as appropriate.

Why and how we use your information

We use enquiry information to understand the service you are interested in, respond by email, discuss location and availability, and take steps to arrange an appointment where appropriate. Submitting the form does not create an appointment.

We rely on your consent to handle and respond to your general enquiry. Where you ask us to arrange a service, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Essential website security and spam prevention are based on our legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable website. We do not use enquiry information for advertising or sell it to others.

Service providers and sharing

Netlify hosts this website and processes form submissions on our behalf. Information may also be handled by the email provider used to respond to you. Access is limited to those who need it to deal with your enquiry, operate the service or meet a legal obligation.

Service providers may process data outside the UK. Where international transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are required, such as applicable adequacy decisions or approved contractual protections.

How long we keep information

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage relevant follow-up and meet applicable legal obligations. It should be reviewed and securely deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Clinical records, if treatment is arranged, are handled separately and are not collected through this general enquiry form.

Keeping information secure

We use proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted website connections and restricted access to enquiry records. No online service can guarantee absolute security, which is why detailed medical information should not be sent through this form.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Withdrawal may mean we cannot continue responding to your enquiry.

To exercise your rights or ask about personal information, email info@surreypodiatrycare.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity and normally respond within one month, in line with applicable law.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when our website or information-handling practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
